Pol the Pirate Mouse

Pol the Pirate Mouse animated series (S1, 2025, Submarine Animation) is based on the Dutch illustrated children book by writer Tingue Dongelmans and illustrator Denise van Leeuwen, in which Pol explores her new forest home with her very own crew of pirates.

 

This project gives me the opportunity to create a beautiful world inspired by the cute surroundings of the book. It was a nice challenge to approach the soft illustration style of Denise as much as possible in the 3D animation. Special about this project is the small but experienced in-house crew with many of them who I worked on previous projects. This made the communication very easy and we could brainstorm and share ideas very organically.
